Terra Industries, a Nigerian firm based in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, shocked the world when it outbid an Israeli firm on June 4, 2025, to win a $1.2 million contract for the security of two hydropower plants.
Formerly known as TerraHaptix and led by a 22-year-old CEO, Nathan Nwachuku, the firm is tasked to deploy a dozen drones and over 35 surveillance towers to enhance security for a local power company.

How Will Terra Industries Achieve This?

The firm’s drones, showcased during a recent tech expo, feature advanced autonomous navigation and real-time monitoring capabilities, designed for industries like energy and mining.
The firm targets the production of 30,000 drones per year to meet the growing demand for the technology in many spheres within the African region.
