NAIROBI, Kenya — Technology distributor Redington used GITEX Kenya 2026 and Ai Everything Kenya 2026 as a platform to showcase its vision for AI-driven digital transformation across Africa, underscoring the growing importance of technology ecosystems in accelerating enterprise innovation.

The company participated in the Nairobi-based events, held from May 19–21, alongside a broad network of global technology vendors and partners, including Adobe, Acer, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Dell Technologies, Fortinet, HP, Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), Huawei, Lenovo, Microsoft, MSI, Palo Alto Networks, Red Hat, Trend Micro, Veeam, and NTT DATA.

Redington said its presence at the event reflected an ecosystem-first strategy aimed at helping organizations across Africa navigate cloud adoption, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and digital infrastructure modernization.

Visitors to the company’s exhibition space were given hands-on access to a range of technology demonstrations, including an AI solutions showcase, the “Unlock Next Studio,” and immersive technology experiences such as a virtual Formula One racing simulator powered by Dell Technologies.

AI Orchestration Takes Center Stage

Artificial intelligence emerged as a key theme throughout the event. During a main-stage panel discussion titled “The Control Layer: AI Orchestration for Energy + Connectivity at Scale,” Redington executives joined industry leaders to examine how AI-powered orchestration is reshaping infrastructure management, connectivity, and digital ecosystems across emerging markets.

“Technology conversations today are no longer centered around individual solutions, but around how ecosystems come together to create meaningful business outcomes,” said Sayantan Dev, Global Head of Software Solutions Group at Redington.

According to Dev, enterprises across emerging markets are increasingly seeking interoperable platforms, faster decision-making capabilities, and digital experiences capable of supporting large-scale growth. He described events such as Ai Everything Kenya and GITEX Kenya as critical forums for industry collaboration and innovation.

East Africa Emerges as a Strategic Technology Market

Redington executives highlighted East Africa’s growing role in the global technology landscape, pointing to rising investments in cloud computing, AI, cybersecurity, and digital infrastructure.

Serkan Celik, Redington’s Chief Executive Officer for Turkey, Africa, Egypt, and CIS countries, said the region is rapidly becoming one of the most dynamic technology growth markets worldwide.

“As businesses accelerate their digital transformation journeys, channel partners are evolving beyond traditional distribution roles toward higher-value services, deeper specialization, and long-term customer enablement,” Celik said.

He added that Redington’s participation at the event reflects its broader commitment to strengthening industry partnerships and supporting customers as they expand their digital capabilities.

Africa’s Innovation Story Is Accelerating

Jim Mathew, President of Africa and Egypt at Redington, argued that Africa is increasingly shaping global conversations around innovation rather than simply adopting trends developed elsewhere.

“Africa is no longer viewed solely as an emerging opportunity,” Mathew said. “Across the continent, organizations are rethinking growth, customer engagement, and technology enablement with greater ambition and speed.”

He described GITEX Kenya and Ai Everything Kenya as important platforms for bringing together technology leaders, innovators, and policymakers to discuss the next phase of digital transformation across the region.

Recognizing Regional Partners

As part of its activities during the event, Redington also hosted its Ecosystem Awards, recognizing top-performing partners across East Africa for their contributions to technology adoption and ecosystem development.

The company said the awards form part of a broader effort to strengthen collaboration across its partner network while supporting the growth of local technology ecosystems.

With AI, cloud services, and cybersecurity continuing to drive investment across the continent, Redington’s message at GITEX Kenya was clear: future growth will be determined less by individual technologies and more by the strength of the ecosystems connecting them.
