The young Moroccan entrepreneur Hicham Oudghiri in his great New York entrepreneurial adventure. Enigma, the startup he co-founded in 2010 in New York, continues to succeed.
Today, this former BMCE Bank employee has made his entry into the big data world. The company specializing in data (Data-as-service) has just raised $95 million from several investors to finance the extension of its network and platform, which connects the real world and company data to optimize workflows.
Where the money goes?
Engima thus intends to invest this envelope to further develop its offers. The group also plans to expand its integrated solutions to new horizons and build on its success in the financial services, insurance, and life sciences industries. It should be noted that Enigma is an IT platform that collects, structures and makes available billions of public data.
For example, for its clients, Enigma can help to achieve large-scale economies, improve public policies, make the culture of analysis and information collection more efficient, which are still disparate but can provide a new perspective. It must be said that in recent years, the group has been trying to move away from a purely commercial approach.
Indeed, one of the highlights of Hicham’s career was when President Obama retweeted one of the startup’s analyses about the real-time magnitude of the wage losses suffered due to the US government’s 2013 budget shutdown. It was from that moment that Ughiri established close relations with various departments of the White House and, in particular, with the Trade Secretariat. A real instrument for interpreting statistical data, Enigma quickly won large contracts.
Today, Hicham Oudghiri is entering a new phase with Enigma, which is taking another step forward in its development. “With this new investment, we will double our ability to expand our collection of real data, offerings in terms of new global standard technologies, which have so far contributed to the success of our customers,” said Hicham Oudghiri, co-founder and CEO of the Enigma Group.
