Inwi wins the Smart City Africa Grand Prize

The 3rd telecom operator Inwi won the Smart City Africa Grand Prize in Paris for its project to deploy a very high-speed WiFi network in the Casablanca tramway on the fringes of the Smart City Forum. The award-winning project (Wifi M3ak) was set up in partnership with Casa Transport.

It has made it possible to equip 74 tramway trains in the metropolitan area with the latest generation of adapted equipment, resistant to shocks, tremors and various climatic and environmental conditions.

“As a global digital operator, we have a central responsibility to ensure high-performance connectivity for everyone and everywhere, which is the foundation of any smart city application or service,” said Nadia Fassi-Fehri, CEO.
